BOREAL FOREST

This dense brushy forest made up of balsam fir, spruce and white birch is found on the steep slopes of the highlands. It makes up 50% of the park and harbours many species including enangered ones such as Canada lynx, Amarican martins and the Bicknell's thrush, It is also the perfered habitat for the moose which is readily spotted throught this area of the park.
